Raise money shopping & selling online
When listing items on eBay, search for Mercy in Action under ‘Raise money for your favourite charity through ebay’, and then choose the % of your winnings that you would like to donate!
You can also raise money doing some retail therapy using EasyFundraising or Amazon Smile. Visit their websites to find out more.
Frequently Asked Questions
+ Can I claim Gift Aid on the funds I have raised?
Gift Aid makes a huge difference to fundraising. To claim Gift Aid, we must have the first name or initials, last name, full home address and postcode of each individual donor/sponsor. So please encourage them to tick the Gift Aid box on your sponsorship form when they sponsor you. Without these details we cannot claim Gift Aid.
+ How do I pay in money raised for Mercy in Action?
If you use an online fundraising platform, such as JustGiving, the money will be sent to Mercy in Action automatically. Alternatively, you can send a cheque to our office, with details of the event. Money can also be paid to us through the online giving form on our website.
+ Do you offer an online sponsorship facility?
You can set up a sponsorship page for Mercy in Action with JustGiving.com. If you need any help setting up your page, please contact us.
+ Can I fundraise for something specific?
If there is a particular project in the UK or the Philippines that you would like to fundraise for, please get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.
+ I want to plan my own fundraising event - where do I start?
A good place to start is to contact us. We can support you with setting up a JustGiving page, provide you with a sponsorship form, publicity, leaflets and advice. Depending on the event, we may have fundraising packs which could be of use. We’re thankful to all our supporters and fundraisers, and we’re here to help in any way we can.
