 Short Term Visits Minimize

Since our first team visit in 1995 we have been able to facilitate visits to the Philippines for well over 120 people, aged from 4-78 years!  These visits usually take place over a two–three week period and enable the participants to take part in actively helping with our projects and to see and experience life in Ozamiz.

The schedules of each team are built around the requirements of each team, whether it is medical, children’s work, church based or building we are happy to ensure that everyone is able to take part at a level they are happy with, of course, each person finds they are taken out of their comfort zone as they reach out to their new friends. Months of planning and training ensure that everyone is given every opportunity to make the most of this short but often life changing experience.

Mercy in Action team members often raise the money for a house to be built during their visit, with the team being given the job of laying the bamboo floor.  A competition is always undertaken between girls and boys as to who lays their part of the floor the fastest.  Under the watchful eye of Elvie Go, the girls are guaranteed to win!

3-4 teams are planned each year, please contact us for more details of forthcoming trips.
