On Top of the World…!

With the sun on their faces and the wind in their hair, 12 strapping men and 7 enthusiastic young boys took part in Mercy in Actions Men’s Challenge Weekend (25th – 27th May). It was an action packed weekend with all 3 different mountain walks completed! This brilliant weekend has raised over £800 so far – so BIG thank you for all those who took part in the weekend and who sponsored their friends and family. This money raised will go towards the construction and refurbishment of a new boy’s home, in which we hope to house some of the street boys we work with in Tabunoc.

Below are a few testimonials from some very game challengers, so please read, enjoy and watch this space for the next Men’s Challenge Weekend!

“My son and I had an amazing time on the Mercy in Action “Men’s Challenge” in the Brecon Beacons. Made all the more enjoyable by the continuous sun-shine all weekend, great food and banter with the other men. My 10 year old son, Jonathan had a wonderful introduction to hill walking, enjoying the high winds and wonderful scenery at the top of Pen-Y-Fan, as well as making friends with the other boys his age. I would definitely recommend this weekend as a great Father-son time and also as an opportunity to enjoy the great out-doors and perhaps push yourself a bit beyond your comfort zone, whilst also raising money and awareness for a very worthwhile cause.” (Dave and Jonny)

“Thanks so much for such a wonderful weekend. Sam hasn’t stopped describing everything to his family, despite being completely whacked after a morning of canoeing. It really was such a great weekend – a complete escape from the working week. The whole weekend was so well organised with great food, activities and company – definitely sign us up for next year!” (Simon and Sam)
